This week I did something I have never done before. I had an evening with our next door neighbours. Living in a village i understood that community was important, but now living in a city community becomes even more important.
I was apprehensive about spending time with a couple I didn't know or hadn't properly met before. But all turned out great, infact it was really good to spend time with some people who were non 'churched'. It was nice to get to know another young couple who seemed similar to us yet so different. It made me think about how our lives would have been if we hadn't got such a strong faith in Jesus?
The film sliding doors showed how someones life can go in two directions after a life changing experience. Tuesday was a sliding doors moment for me. Seeing what was and what could have been. I'm thankful for the life changing experience of Jesus who brought me from being lost to being found. From purposelessness to purpose.
This Christmas create community, enjoy it, interact with it. Eat mince pies and drink mulled wine. And remember the life changing experience that could take your life in an alternative direction.
