Your day to day life might be a blur to you but you have created yourself a routine. Everyone has one so your not alone. You get up at a certain time, have the same cereal, see the same people on the bus to school, life seems to just carry on the same each day.
There is a really funny film where a man ends up repeating the same day over and over again. He is stuck in a rut of life which he is both comfortable with but also scared of leaving! Hows your rut looking? Routine is different from a Rut. Ruts are created when the creativity or the joy in our routine is lost and we become lost in the boringness of life. Don't get stuck in a rut make sure your routine is still fresh and alive.
Jesus like routine as well and he encourages us to find our own prayer routine. For some this might be at a certain time of the day, as soon as you wake up, or before you go to sleep at night. Others of you might like to pray in a certain way or place. It is in these regular places or time that we develop and build our relationship with God. We grow in routine, we get fed in routine we stay sane in routine!
The problem is if that place or time of prayer becomes boring or empty just like being in a rut. It is worse having a routine that is turning into a rut, rather than having no routine at all. Change the time, the place or even the way you pray to get out of that rut.
